School of Social Work
The School of Social Work is an integral part of Temple's College of Public Health. We share a home with other professions who seek healing and opportunities to bolster human capacities. All elements of the College provide a unique professional focus on a common aim of improving quality of life.
The School of Social Work fulfills its mission of building social and economic justice through teaching, research and service. Our graduates tackle issues related to HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance abuse, homelessness, juvenile justice, health services, hospice services, community capacity building, violence against women, organizational diversity, child welfare, teenage pregnancy, elder abuse, and poverty. A gift to the School of Social Work provides essential resources for scholarships, student emergency support, new educational technology and more. That means our students will have the tools they need today in order to become the health leaders of tomorrow.
