Interprofessional education (IPE) involves students from different professions learning together, sharing knowledge, and developing the skills needed to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, with the goal of promoting collaboration and improving health outcomes. IPE prepares students to enter the workforce and can occur in various settings, including classroom-based learning, clinical simulations, and real-world clinical settings.

Our approach
Part of the mission of the Office of Clinical Affairs and Interprofessional Education is to prepare current and future health professionals to engage in interprofessional and collaborative education, research, and practice. To do this, we:
- Develop, promote, and advance the college's (IPE) opportunities and activities.
- Build sustainable relationships with community partners to promote and advance student clinical learning aligned with program learning objectives.
- Support and advance Temple University Health System's strategic relationship, specifically around clinical practice, workforce development, and IPE.
- Build and sustain infrastructure to support clinical and fieldwork activities.
- Build capacity of academic and clinical faculty for interprofessional education and practice.
- Advance IPE pedagogy through scholarship and leadership.
