Dr. Hart is a clinical psychologist whose program of research focuses on the identification of novel behavioral targets for prevention and treatment of pediatric obesity. The Hart Lab has two primary lines of research: understanding the role of enhancing children’s sleep to decrease risk of obesity and cardiometabolic disturbance, and understanding the effect of early life risk factors on children’s obesity risk. A cross-cutting theme of this work is the identification of effective approaches to decrease health disparities in pediatric populations. Dr. Hart is also associated with the Center for Obesity Research and Education.
