The field of Communication Sciences and Disorders explores the way we communicate through speech and hearing, probing how our brains learn, process and retain language. Students in these programs learn to better understand communications disorders in adults and children, including both hereditary conditions and those brought on by life events, leading to treatments that can improve patients’ social interactions and quality of life.
