Clients of all ages are treated for disorders of articulation arising from delayed speech development, phonological problems and neurological impairment. Treatment is also available for non-native English speakers who wish to engage in accent reduction and for speakers of regional or cultural variations of Standard American English. Comprehensive speech and language evaluations and hearing screenings are available to clients of all ages in order to identify articulation, language, voice and fluency disorders. Evaluations are scheduled in the mornings and may last from two to three hours.

This service provides evaluation and treatment for people with impaired hearing. Activities include auditory training, speech reading, hearing conservation, maintenance of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices, articulation and language therapy.

This program provides general speech-language and hearing services for Hispanic clients. Graduate students who are bilingual (English-Spanish) provide services under the direct supervision of a bilingual speech-language pathologist who holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Pennsylvania licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Treatment focuses on all aspects of oral communication skills.

Clients of all ages may be seen for this service, but it is primarily for children with delayed language and children or adults with language and/or learning disabilities. Non-native English speakers and people with chronic aphasia are also seen for treatment of their respective language differences or disorders.

Preschool children who may be at risk for stuttering and children and adults who stutter are seen for treatment. Group therapy as well as individual therapy is available. A summer program for teens and young adults who stutter is also available.
