New accelerated BSN program offers pathway to nursing career
The College of Public Health has launched its accelerated bachelor of science in nursing (ABSN), a program enabling students who already hold a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing major to train to become registered nurses in 16 months. The accelerated program, including classroom study, clinical work and field education in the Philadelphia community, grants students an undergraduate degree in nursing and prepares them to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
