Sarah is a PhD student in the College of Public Health at Temple University. She is from Saudi Arabia and came to the United States to pursue higher education. Her research interests focus on examining public health policies, using both qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Her current research concentrates on tobacco control policies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. She is hoping to assist policymakers in GCC countries in reducing the economic burden of diseases and improving health outcomes for their populations. Upon graduation, she will return to Saudi Arabia to serve people in her native country by teaching and conducting health policy research.
