Meghan Rath is a kinesiology PhD student in integrative exercise physiology at Temple University with interests in sport-related concussion, subconcussive head injury and long-term neurodegenerative disorders. Her current research includes combining flow cytometry analysis and digital ELISA detection methods to study the effect of sport-related concussion on circulating blood biomarkers in collegiate athletes.
Meghan earned her MS in exercise sport and physiology from West Chester University. Her graduate research study investigated the effect of foot type on ACL injury risk factors in collegiate female soccer players. Prior to starting her PhD, Meghan managed a corporate fitness center and worked as a personal trainer, allowing her to work with the general public, clinical populations, collegiate athletes, and military and coast guard reserve professionals.
