Biography

Christopher Taylor, RN, is a doctoral student in Temple University’s neuromotor science program and a teaching assistant for undergraduate anatomy and physiology. Under the mentorship of Christopher Thompson, PT, PhD (Spinal Neuromotor Lab), Chris studies how the non-linearity of human spinal motoneurons impacts the production of force. He has also collaborated with Jinsook Roh, PhD (University of Houston) on several studies (using electromyography and bio-feedback) to improve post-stroke upper limb rehabilitation. Chris’s early-career research in movement science comes after his practice as a critical care nurse at Cooper University Hospital (trauma intensive care unit) and the Fox Chase Cancer Center (post-anesthesia care unit); his decade-long experience as a strength coach with United States Weightlifting (USAW) Level 2 certification; and his infantry service in the United States Marine Corps.
