MSAT Admissions Requirements

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) is a 53-credit program starting Summer II. This program was created to develop competent athletic training students who are eligible for the Board of Certification (BOC) Examination. Every student in the program will have clinical experience at the Division I level. 

Applying to this program

  • Deadline: June 1, Rolling
  • ATCAS: Required 
  • Temple University Supplemental Application: Required; after the ATCAS application (lessens application time)
  • GPA: Looking for 3.0 and above
  • GRE: Required to code 2906; competitive scores 
  • College level transcripts: Required through ATCAS
  • References: Required through ATCAS; 2 people who would serve as references and their contact information
  • Resume: Required through ATCAS
  • Statement of Goals: Required through ATCAS
  • Interview: Required; via WebEx
  • Additional Information: Required through ATCAS; proof of current healthcare professional CPR, proof of shadowing at least 50 hours with a certified athletic trainer
