Please join Temple University's recreational therapy program for a screening of I Didn't See You There. This is a great opportunity for student credit and/or a chance to consider perspectives on disability.

In the film, spurred by the spectacle of a circus tent that goes up outside his Oakland apartment, a disabled filmmaker launches into a meditative journey exploring the history of freakdom, vision, and (in)visibility. Shot entirely from director Reid Davenport's physical perspective (mounted to his wheelchair or handheld), the film serves as an unequivocal rebuke to the norm of disabled people being seen and not heard. The film is a 2022 Sundance winner for U.S. Documentary Director and Grand Jury Prize nominee.

This event has been organized by the recreational therapy program and the Recreational Therapy Student Association at Temple University.
