Public Health Management Corporation’s Research and Evaluation Group has invited Brittany R. Schuler, assistant professor in the School of Social Work, to its inaugural Visiting Scholars Program for the 2019-2020 academic year. In collaboration with PHMC researchers and practitioners, the visiting scholars will pursue and strengthen their research, build a knowledge base in a specific area of public health and further support their academic goals.
Schuler’s research aims to understand and improve daily household routines in an effort to improve well-being and protect children of parents with substance use disorders.
PHMC provides a rich opportunity for these Visiting Scholars to carry out applied, community and clinical research focused on a wide array of social, public health, and education issues. Through this program, PHMC connects with faculty affiliated with academic institutions in the tri-state area who are conducting research in areas aligned with its portfolio of projects. Schuler will begin her research in September.
The Research & Evaluation Group is part of Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), a distinct member of the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI).
