Biography

Kyle McGee is currently a DSW candidate at Kutztown University. He received his MSW from West Chester University and is a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He completed his MS in criminal justice from West Chester University and earned his BA in sociology from Albright College. Kyle is a certified clinical trauma specialist for individuals (CCTS-I), having received 20 additional hours of educational training in treating traumatic stress in individual adults.

Kyle has over seven years of social work practice experience in Philadelphia, PA, and Camden County, NJ. He has professional experience as a drug and alcohol case manager, and he worked as a trauma-focused outpatient therapist in addition to treating a male batter and sex offender population. He has worked as a clinical care manager, a behavioral health care manager in primary care integrated behavioral health, and as a general mental health therapist and school mental health practitioner.

Kyle believes that service engagement has been a valuable aspect of his personal and professional development. He has been previously involved in various professional committees such as serving as co-chair of a health system trauma-informed workgroup, ethics committee membership, and school student mentoring membership. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate social work courses at Temple University, while serving on Temple University's Paley Simulation Committee dedicated to fostering experiential learning in public health across various academic disciplines.
