Biography

Kyle McGee is currently a DSW student at Kutztown University. He received his MSW from West Chester University and is a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He completed his MS in criminal justice from West Chester University and earned his BA in sociology from Albright College. Kyle is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Individuals (CCTS-I), having received 20 additional hours of educational training in treating traumatic stress in individual adults.

Kyle has over seven years of social work practice experience in Philadelphia, PA, as a trauma focused outpatient therapist as well as providing therapy to clients involved in battering and sex offenses. He has worked as a clinical care manager, a behavioral healthcare manager in primary care integrated behavioral health, and as a general mental health therapist and school mental health practitioner in Camden County, NJ.

Kyle has experience supervising students in social work. He also believes that service engagement has been a valuable aspect of his personal and professional development. He has been involved in various professional committees such as serving as co-chair of a health system trauma-informed workgroup, ethics committee membership, and school student mentoring membership. He currently teaches undergraduate and graduate social work courses at Temple University.
