Bari J Dzomba
Biography
Bari Dzomba has over 20 years experience in education, healthcare, information technology and leadership across all areas of healthcare, including academic health systems, medical education, research, pharmaceutical and insurance. Prior to joining Temple University in 2018, Bari was an educational director for medical education CQI & accreditation and assistant professor of public health sciences at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, and faculty at several Penn State Commonwealth Campuses including Berks, Harrisburg, Brandywine and York.
While at Penn State, Bari led the informatics and IT teams at Penn State University College of Medicine for initiatives under the Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute including i2b2 and the research data warehouse. She has led the data initiatives for the Penn State medical school for their most recent successful MD program accreditation. Bari developed the inaugural public health/population health informatics graduate courses for Penn State, and has taught at the undergraduate and graduate level for over 10 years across business, information systems, project management, cybersecurity, data science, leadership, and business intelligence and analytics. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Bari is the proud mom of a Temple graduate, and she enjoys living with her family in the area.
