Awards and accolades
Ryan McKee received the Charlotte Silversteen Living the Ritual Award from TU Student Activities and the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences Faculty Service Award.
Anne Frankel received the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences Faculty Mentor Award.
Caite Wolak received the Stefan Keller Excellence in Teaching Award.
Erin Kulick received the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Junior Faculty Service Award.
Resa Jones received the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Mid-Career to Senior Faculty Service Award recipient.
Sezgin Ciftci received the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Student-Selected Undergraduate Teaching Award.

Presentations and abstracts
David Sarwer presented his research on the psychosocial and behavioral aspects of metabolic surgery at the Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the Center for Value-Based Care Research in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.

Appointments and other activities
Jingwei Wu served as ASA Philadelphia Chapter Special Awards Judge for Delaware Valley Science Fairs.
Recai Yucel was selected as a 2024 Fellow of the American Statistical Association. Yucel also served on the Department of Defense Study Section.
Robin Taylor Wilson will begin serving as chair of the International Network for Epidemiology in Policy in May.
Sarah Weinstein served as a consultant at DataFest Philly 2024. Weinstein also released new software in R and python for Network Enrichment Significance Testing (NEST) in collaboration with Bin Li, a computer science PhD student at Temple.
