The Minor in Global Health enables students to gain experience and expertise in addressing issues in global and population health, as well as their associated influential factors and social determinants. Students in the minor will obtain a deeper understanding of global health systems, develop interdisciplinary skills to evaluate global health phenomena, design solutions to major public health challenges, and actively engage in international initiatives to improve health as global citizens.
Coursework explores primary health disparities, social determinants of health, policy management, care outcomes, health informatics, and public health communications in a connected global environment. Students will be prepared for work in the global public health field, including in research, teaching or health services.
