Wiens Lab (Infectious Diseases)

The Wiens Lab (infectious diseases) utilizes disease modeling, seroepidemiology, and spatial analysis to understand the epidemiology of enteric pathogens, particularly cholera and Vibrio infections. Our research focuses on characterizing infections that go undetected by passive surveillance systems and understanding how they contribute to disease burden and transmission. We work to translate these findings into effective public health interventions through US and international collaborations.
