CEO of Aria Health Receives Temple Alumni Award

Kathleen Kinslow, Temple University Nursing Alumna, Receives Alumni Award from College of Public Health

Kathleen Kinslow, CEO of Aria Health System and executive vice president of clinical integration and patient experience for Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, received this year’s Temple Alumni Association Gallery of Success award on Tuesday, October 18. The award recognizes exceptional and inspirational alumni of Temple University.

Kinslow is a distinguished leader in healthcare delivery and administration who received her master of science degree in nursing from Temple in 1997. A Philadelphia native with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, Kinslow began her career in nursing at Pennsylvania Hospital. She has drawn on her experience as an educator and nurse anesthetist to understand the hospital experience from the patient’s point of view.

“Having worked as a nurse for many years allowed me to develop insight into what caregiving is truly about: not only ensuring that levels of care are met and technical processes are followed, but also having empathy and being an advocate for the patient, which has a profound impact on their experience,” said Kinslow.

At the award ceremony, Kinslow shared the story of her dynamic career in healthcare with alumni, students, faculty and staff of the College of Public Health, which houses the Department of Nursing.

“It was an honor to have been recognized by my colleagues, and I’m humbled by it,” said Kinslow. “I’m very proud to have been part of Temple.”
