Biography

Dr. Soylu is an associate professor of instruction in the Department of Health Services Administration and Policy within the Barnett College of Public Health at Temple University. Dr. Soylu earned her PhD in health services research in 2019 and an MHA in 2015, both from George Mason University. She also received her MBA in 1994 from Morgan State University. Dr. Soylu’s research focuses on workplace burnout, depression and anxiety among healthcare professionals, specifically in primary care. While obtaining her PhD, she worked on a national project, EvidenceNOW, that aimed to transform primary care into evidence-based practices while improving population cardiovascular care; it was funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Dr. Soylu has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, including leadership, education consulting and nursing.
