Biography
Kyle McGee, DSW, MS, LCSW is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Barnett College of Public Health, School of Social Work. Kyle has years of social work practice experience in Philadelphia, PA, and Camden County, NJ. He has professional experience in micro and macro practice serving in roles such as case management, mental health therapy, school social work, integrated care, and managed care clinical care management. He continues to employ his clinical social work skills with adult clients in part-time outpatient services. Currently, he teaches in the undergraduate and graduate social work programs at Temple University and serves as Director of the School of Social Work Continuing Education Program.
Kyle believes that service engagement has been a valuable aspect of his personal and professional development. In social work practice has been involved in various professional committees such as serving as co-chair of a health system trauma-informed workgroup, ethics committee membership, and school student mentoring membership. Among other service responsibilities, he currently serves as Co-Chair of the Barnett College of Public Health’s Budget Committee and is co-designing a trauma certificate for the university. In his free time he enjoys Philly food, history, and culture.
