In this presentation, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders faculty members Lisa Bedore, Fel Garcia, and Jodi Reich will provide an overview of the nature of developmental language disorders (DLD), discuss how speech-language pathologists work to support language development in monolingual and bilingual families, and highlight efforts to document language development and language disorders across languages and countries as a foundational effort to support individuals with DLD around the world.
