Dr. Heather Javaherian-Dysinger will discuss critical issues facing individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV). She will provide an overview of pervasive impact of IPV on occupational engagement and self-agency and will discuss the vital role and responsibilities of occupational therapy practitioners to recognize IPV and to know how to respond to clients who have experienced IPV.
