Biography

Dr. Yanda Lang is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He received his PhD in Statistics from Western Michigan University in 2021 and his MS in Statistics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2017. His research interests include computational statistics, algorithms in nonparametric statistics, meta-analysis, and Bayesian inference. He currently serves as a Co-Investigator on an NIH-funded project, Investigating Student-Level Outcomes of Implementation Mapping in a Cluster Randomized Trial to Enhance the Impact of Universal School Meals, contributing expertise in mixed models and statistical methodology.

Prior to joining Temple, Dr. Lang was a teaching assistant at Western Michigan University, where he served as the instructor of record for Business Statistics and Data Analysis for Biosciences courses. He also worked as a Data Scientist Intern at Soothsayer Analytics in Michigan.
