Biography
Lindsay Clarke completed her PhD in neuromotor science at Temple University, and she completed her BA in human biology with a concentration in human performance and evolution at Stanford University. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Clarke was a four-year letter winner and 2009 NCAA champion in rowing. She is a seven-time member of the U.S. Rowing national team and a 2008 Olympian.
Dr. Clarke's primary area of academic interest is the physical and mental development of youth athletes. Her research has largely focused on gait stability, especially that of adolescent athletes. She is passionate about developing injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies for young athletes through the lens of biomechanics. Given her extensive athletic and coaching background and her academic focus on human movement, Dr. Clarke teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in biomechanics and anatomy and physiology.
