Biography

Karen McBride earned a BS in health information management in 1988 from Temple University and an MS in instructional technology from Philadelphia University in 2003. Prior to accepting the position at Temple University, she was a manager in the Health Information Management Department at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Previous positions include clinical data analyst at Wyeth Ayerst Pharmaceuticals and health information manager at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Ms. McBride serves as the undergraduate program director for the BS in health information management and manages the professional internship and professional development courses. She is also responsible for the program's advising, recruitment and admissions.
