The Kulick Lab is focused on the identification and study of novel risk factors for brain aging in the population, focusing primarily on environmental and social determinants of cognitive decline and dementia in underserved and minoritized communities. Areas of substantive interest include the association between residential ambient air pollution and neurological and neurocognitive outcomes, the identification of mechanistic pathways through which air pollution influences an individual’s health, and the joint health effects of air pollution and neighborhood factors.
