GRADUATION DAY – WHAT TO EXPECT

  • As a reminder, we do NOT have a rehearsal for either the Main Commencement ceremony or the CPH graduation ceremony.  Please pay attention to the information provided via email updates and at ticket pick-up.
  • Traffic around campus will increase significantly, so kindly remind your guests to allow ample time to arrive at the facility, park, and pass through security.
  • Liacouras will open for graduates and guests at 8:00am.
  • We ask that all graduates report to the Liacouras Loading Dock NO LATER THAN 8:30am.  Graduates should be dressed for the ceremony in gown, hood, cap and tassel.
  • At ticket pick-up, you will receive a layout with a breakdown of programs within the Arena to share with your family, so they can choose their seats accordingly.
    •  Balloons will not be allowed inside Liacouras, so please ask your guests to keep balloons at home or in their vehicles.
    • We also ask that guests refrain from using air horns, as this overshadows the name being called for the student after you.
    • Please remember that this is a solemn event with roots in antiquity and is meant to honor the milestone of graduation for each graduate. Let us join in a spirit of mutual respect so that we can afford each graduate the full respect and honor that you would like from them.
  • For any students or guests who may need accessible seating arrangements, please submit an inquiry and include any necessary information.
  • Graduation marshals will start leading students into the Arena at 9:15am and the ceremony will begin promptly at 9:30am.
  • We expect the ceremony to last approximately 2 hours.  We ask that all graduates and guests remain seated until conferral of all degrees is complete.

We strongly encourage you and your families to review the “Ceremony Information for Graduates and Guests” on the Commencement website. There, you’ll find FAQs on parking, security, regalia and what items you can or cannot bring to the ceremonies.
