Following graduation from Hahnemann in 1975 in Clinical Psychology, Alan practiced for more than 40 years in community mental health agencies, psychiatric hospitals and private practice. In 1993, Alan enrolled in Temple’s MSW program and continued his psychotherapy  practice, combining principals of Clinical Psychology and Clinical Social Work. He started his teaching career in 2004 at Temple and Rutgers as an adjunct professor, becoming a full time professor at Temple in 2008. As lead Clinical Faculty, he continues to develop clinical curriculum and new programs providing cutting edge practice theory and skills to Clinical Concentration students. Alan was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2015. He is also a NJ State Certified Clinical Supervisor and PASCSW Certified Supervisor.
