Alfred W Dean has more than thirty years of dedicated, progressive law enforcement experience.Currently, Alfred is president of A.W. Dean Associates, a police management and school safety consulting firm. His clients include a nationwide listing of school districts and police departments. Under a contract with the United States Department of Justice, he also currently serves as executive director for the Pennsylvania Regional Community Policing Institute (PRCPI) with offices in Pittsburg and Allentown. PRCPI is one of 27 institutes located throughout the country, funded by the US Department of Justice (DOJ), and managed by the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS).

Considered an expert in police management, school safety assessment, community policing and cultural diversity programs, Alfred has employed his skills in various positions including executive administrator for Training and Support Services and director of the Center for Police and Civil Disorder for the Police Foundation in Washington DC, and the director for the Office of Security Operations for the Philadelphia Public School District. He also served as the Police Lieutenant and executive assistant to the deputy police commissioner for the Philadelphia Police Department and an adjunct professor for Temple University.

A cum laude graduate of Temple University, Albert earned a bachelor´s degree in Social Work and, subsequently, his master´s degree in the same field.
