Social Work Student Organizations

Organizations at the School of Social Work offer students the opportunity for further community engagement, learning and networking.

Temple University Social Work Student Collective

Social Work Student Collective logoThe mission of the Social Work Student Collective is to form a collectively conscious group of social work majors -- and form a mindful community of activists at Temple University. Our goal is to sponsor and participate in educational, professional, and social activities for the benefit of those within the School of Social Work and the community around us, whether that be Temple University or throughout Philadelphia.

Through advocacy, service, our programs, and participation in community events, we are an organization for Social Work majors and other interested folks to turn to for fun and service as we are grounded in the values of social work. We hope to provide support and community while we work toward social justice together, whether that's changing the curriculum to be more inclusive, doing activism and service, or hosting speakers from renowned organizations like the Joseph J. Peters Institute and the University Community Collaborative.

We're looking for folks who work intersectionally, are passionate about social work, and who would like to be active in the Temple University & Philadelphia community, so contact us at templeswsc@gmail.com -- and follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook @TempleSWSC to get involved!
