Courtney Fecske is an instructor in the Recreational Therapy program within the department of Rehabilitation Sciences. Her clinical experiences include working at a recreation therapy camp, adolescent in-patient and out patient psychiatric unit, special recreation association, and counseling students in disability resource services in post-secondary education. Other experiences include serving on the Adaptive Skating/Special Olympics Committee for United States Figure Skating and teaching adaptive ice skating programs. Her research interests include exploring the modality of sport environment and sport participation for individuals with disabilities and application for evidence based practice for recreational therapy, as well as, utilizing empowering qualitative methods of inquiry to provide voice to individuals with disabilities relative to recreational and leisure experiences.
