Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Admissions

For admission consideration, applicants must:

  • Have a clinical physical therapy doctoral degree (DPT or transitional DPT) and be currently licensed as a physical therapist by one or more U.S. states
  • Be working full-time in out-patient orthopedic physical therapy
  • Have access to a physical therapist with OCS designation who would be willing to serve as a clinical mentor. (Temple faculty can assist residents with securing a clinical mentor.)

Application Deadlines and Requirements

To apply for admission, applicants must submit an application through the Residency and Fellowship PT Centralized Application System (RFPTCAS), available at rfptcas.liaisoncas.com. The application opens in October each year. 

The application includes:

  • Official transcripts from your Doctoral Physical Therapy program
  • Two letters of reference
  • Professional statement of career goals

Application deadline for January cohort start: Nov. 30
