Dr. McAleer earned her post graduate Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner degree from Hahnemann University and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Temple University. She is board certified as an adult acute care nurse practitioner.  Dr. McAleer has been a professional registered nurse for over 25 years and a board certified nurse practitioner for 16 years. She teaches undergraduate nursing students at Temple University and chairperson for doctoral nursing students. Dr. McAleer has published several articles in the field of geriatrics. Her doctoral capstone project focused on the association of prescribed medications and adverse outcomes in the older adult residing in long term care.
