Kelly Pagnotta is an assistant professor in the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program in the Department of Kinesiology. She completed her BS in Athletic Training from California University and her MA and PhD from the University of Connecticut. Her research areas of interests are preventing sudden death and injuries in athletics through the use of educational techniques and policy development through qualitative research methods. She is specifically interested in how we can get the current research, recommended guidelines and "best practices" into clinical practice. Dr. Pagnotta serves as a review for various athletic training journals and as a CAATE site visitor.

  • Exertational heart illnesses and exertional sickling prevention and treatment policy development and implementation
