Health Informatics Graduate Certificate

The Online Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics focuses on the application of information technology to healthcare in order to create tools and procedures that facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will gain the skills you need to address the business, ethical and legal issues surrounding electronic health record and health information management systems. Courses cover HIPAA privacy and security, health information exchanges and health informatics standards, and more.

Application Requirements

You must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution to be considered for admission. A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is required.

If you are currently a matriculated graduate student at Temple University, please complete this online form to enroll in the certificate program.

If you are not currently a matriculated graduate student at Temple University, you must submit the following credentials.

Application Components

  1. Application: Students should apply using the SOPHAS Express Centralized Application Service. 
  2. Transcripts: Submit transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. These should be uploaded directly into the SOPHAS Express system. 

Additional Requirements for International Students

A minimum TOEFL score of 79 iBT or 550 PBT is required. A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 would also be considered.
