Dr. Christen Rexing earned a Ph.D. in Public Health Policy (2014), an M.P.H. (2007), and a B.A. (2001) in History and Political Science from Temple University.  Her area of research interest is in health policy development, adoption, and evaluation, particularly at the state and federal levels.  Most of her research focuses on firearm injury prevention through gun control policies; however, she also does research in tobacco control policies, mental health, substance abuse, motor vehicle injury prevention, and veterans populations.

Rexing serves on the Policy and Advocacy Committee for the Society for the Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) whose mission is to foster excellence in the science of preventing and treating injury and violence.
