CSPCD's Health Information Program featured in Temple Today

CPH's Center for Social Policy and Community Development and the Health Information Professions program has been featured in Temple Today. 

"Temple implemented the HIP program four years ago to train participants to work in the emerging field of medical coding and billing or as administrative health assistants or community health workers.

HIP is offered free of charge for qualifying students through a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families. “This program is geared to individuals who are educationally and economically disadvantaged,” said Shirley Moy, co-director of Temple’s Center for Social Policy and Community Development in the College of Public Health."
