Physical Therapy Scholarship

Doctor of Physical Therapy students Rory English, Allison HarMatt Williams Scholarship 2011ris, and Kris Ottens were selected to receive the Matt Williams Scholarship  (presented by Matt's mother Carole Williams, at right). The scholarship is awarded to a student in the second year of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program who exemplifies the attributes of Matt Williams. 

Matt Williams was a member of the Class of 2002 who lost his battle with cancer. To honor his memory, the award goes to a student, selected by their classmates, who demonstrates humor, enthusiasm, courage, and a servant’s heart.  

Creative Arts Scholarship

Two applicants from CPH were selected to receive awards under the Creative Arts, Research And Scholarship (CARAS) program. Kinesiology student Megan Lunny was awarded $3,354.90 for her project titled The Effect of Delayed Puberty on Bone Strength Development. Therapeutic Recreation student Brigid Lyons was awarded $3,105 for her project titled Physiological Effects of a Technology-Based Music Making Program in Skilled Nursing Residents. Lunny and Lyons were two of 18 applicants selected to receive awards.

State Nursing Scholarship

Lyndsay Jones, a BSN student, was chosen to receive a scholarship from the Student Nurse Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP).
