Emeka Nwadiora, JD, PhD, DSW, MSW, associate professor at Temple’s School of Social Work, has been invited to speak to the Multicultural Family Services Center in Upper Darby, PA. On May 3 he presented a lecture titled "Pathways to Economic Success: Immigrants Making a Difference" as part of the agency's 2012 Leadership and Economic Summit.

Jonathan Singer, PhD, LCSW, assistant professor of Social Work at CPH, participated in a panel presentation at Masterman Middle School, April 13. Panelists discussed suicide prevention, stigma, and stereotypes with about 200 middle school students. Dr. Singer is collaborating with the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program on their suicide prevention efforts, which include a storytelling website called Finding the Light Within.

Jonathan Singer, PhD, LCSW, assistant professor of Social Work at CPH, presented at the 45th American Association of Suicidology conference in Baltimore, MD., April 21. His research was titled “Effects of Youth Suicidal Behavior on Perceived Parental Support”.

Andrea Pabon, an adjunct professor for CPH's MSW Program in Dallas, PA, gave a presentation titled "Vicarious Trauma” at the Southeast Region National Rehabilitation Association's 64th Annual Conference in Safety Harbor, FL on May 7.

On April 12, Social Work honors thesis student Jessica Clymer presented her research, “Sources of Stress in a Low-Income Housing Community”, at Temple University Undergraduate Research Forum and Creative Works Symposium (TURF-CReWS).
