Physical Therapy students take action on Day of Service

Students from CPH's Doctor of Physical Therapy program may not have had classes on January 16, but they didn’t take the day off. Instead, they volunteered at the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Celebration.

"The event was a huge success,” said one student. “We had 19 individuals from the first and second year class volunteer and promote the profession, direct access, better posture, and Temple Physical Therapy!"

Hosted at Girard College, the 17th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service attracted more than 8,000 volunteers this year.

“Given that these students volunteered their time even before classes start, this is a testament to their commitment to their profession and our community,” said Mary C. Sinnott, PT, DPT, director of Temple’s DPT program.
