Male nursing organizations host interdisciplinary expert panel

Male nursing students from Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania collaborated April 17, to put together an expert panel for a discussion of men's mental health. Organizations TUFF MAN (Temple University Federation for Men as Nurses) and MAN UP (Male Association of Nurses at University of Pennsylvania) recruited panelists from both schools, representing a variety of disciplines including medicine, psychology, nursing, and sociology.

Discussion topics included College Aged Men, Violence and Mental Illness, Masculinity within Different Cultures, and What Health Care Providers Can Do for Their Own Mental Health. More collaborative events are expected in the future.
