Health Informatics certificate program celebrates first completing cohort

The first 11 students seeking post-BS certificates in Health Informatics completed their training this spring.

This innovative certificate, offered by CPH's Department of Health Information Management, was designed to provide workforce development training for professionals looking to advance in their healthcare careers or move into the field of health informatics.

Students received their certificates at a completion ceremony held at Temple University’s Center City Campus. Speakers at the ceremony representing three critical disciplines in Health Informatics: physicians, nurses, and IT professionals.

Speakers included:

Brian A. Hannah, MD, MS, CPHIMS, Assistant Chief Medical Information Officer at Universal Health Services, Inc.
Fran Cornelius, PhD, MSN, CNE, RN-BC, Chair of the MSN Advanced Role Department at Drexel University’s College of Nursing & Health Professions
Dan Foltz, Vice President of Healthcare at Anexinet Corporation
