DPT Student receives $10,000 Rehabilitation Scholarship

Rory English, a third year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at CPH, has been awarded The Fox Rehabilitation Scholarship for the Advancement of Geriatric Specialists. The scholarship, open to both physical and occupational therapy students, is based on an interview and personal essay, and includes an 18-month employment commitment after graduation.

Rory is currently the vice president of the Temple University DPT Student Association and a volunteer with the Aid For Friends organization.

Fox Rehabilitation is also partnering with PT faculty members to establish a research-focused health outcomes measurement system for Fox’s Optimal Living Program. Temple faculty and students, along with clinicians at Fox Rehabilitation, will collect, analyze, and interpret data to determine the program’s impact on the health and quality of life of residents in assisted living facilities.
