During her tenure here Dr. Ward was integral to the transformation of the Department’s academic programs from an acute care, hospital-based focus to a primary care focus. This shift has positioned the Department of Nursing as a leader, adapting to the needs of a changing healthcare delivery system.

"Fran's vision, drive and accomplishment defined her tenure here and will leave its mark on the programs and people they serve," said Michael R. Sitler, EdD, Interim Dean the College of Public Health. "We wish her the best as she begins her next chapter.
