Nursing Volunteer of the Year
The PA State Nurses Association (PSNA) honored seven PSNA award recipients at its annual Awards Ceremony held Oct. 27 at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
PSNA presented the 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award to Frances Ward, PhD, RN, CRNP, Temple University.

2011 Outstanding Future Professional
David Aaronson, senior PHETE student in the Department of Kinesiology, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance’s 2011 Outstanding Future Professional. He was selected amongst 13 other student representatives from across the state, representing every college and university which prepares professionals in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
David was presented with his award by President Rick Howard during the Elmer B. Cottrell Awards banquet. (Pictured at left)
As this year’s winner, David will be supported by the PSAHPERD to represent Pennsylvania at this year’s Eastern District Convention in Boston, MA in March.
