CHPSW Research Day

On Friday, April 26, more than 70 students from the College of Public Health presented at CPH Research Day. Faculty members Dr. Geoff Wright and Dr. Jay Fagan gave oral presentations on their work funded with CPH grants from the Dean's Office. Three students from each session received Meritous Poster Awards, and one student from each session was given the Dean's Award for Outstanding Posters.

Inspiration Temple Made: Celebrating Courage, Compassion and Community

On Saturday, April 20, Temple Alumnus Austin Frazier (HIM 2003) will be moderating a panel discussion of fellow alumni. The discussion, titled “Inspiration Temple Made: Celebrating Courage, Compassion and Community”, will be a presentation and celebration of the many ways in which Temple graduates are making a positive impact in the world.

BSHIM Restructure Information Sessions

The BSHIM program has been restructured to support changes in the CAHIIM accreditation standards, responding to changes in the field and allowing our students to increase their competitive ability in the healthcare marketplace. This program will be effective for incoming Fall 2013 Juniors has been approved by the Temple University's Board of Trustees. 

Current and future BSHIM students are STRONGLY encouraged to attend one of our Information Sessions.

Rehab Science professor joins mental health discussion on Radio Times

Mark Salzer, PhD, Director of Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities, and chair of the Department of Rehabiliation Sciences, joined other mental health experts on WHYY’s Radio Times to discuss mental health legislation in light of the recent Newtown, Connecticut school shooting.
