
Lei (Leo) Ma
Biography
Lei (Leo) Ma is a PhD candidate in the neuromotor science program at Temple University. He earned his BS in kinesiology from University of Maryland and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University. Leo is a licensed physical therapist with an interest in vestibular rehabilitation. His current research focuses on sensory integration for postural control and physical rehabilitation. His previous research experiences include muscle synergy analysis in stroke populations, strength training for prostate cancer patients, sub-concussion detection among collegiate athletes, and balance training for older adults. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented at national and international conferences. Leo is fascinated by how we perceive the world around us and hopes to utilize the power of perception to improve physical functions among physical therapy patients.
