Amy Confair joined the College of Public Health in July 2020 as assistant director of the Office of Community-engaged Research and Practice (CERP). In this role, she engages with community partners and various stakeholder groups; builds capacity for community-engaged research among CPH faculty, staff and local community-based organizations through training and technical assistance; monitors the college’s network of community engagement; and helps identify and facilitate funding opportunities. Confair is dedicated to increasing the relevancy and impact of research, policy and practice by connecting community groups and organizations with researchers and decision-makers. She aims to use community engagement to dismantle barriers that lead to inequity and public health disparities.
Confair completed her master of public health degree with a graduate certificate in community-based public health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
