Biography:

Ohenewaa earned her bachelor of social work in 1994 and her master of social work in 2001 and has spent over 20 years in child welfare and adolescent prevention services. She is a full time instructor in social work and serves as the BSW field director at Alvernia University. Her research interests includes intergenerational community health, health disparities and adolescent prevention. Ohenewaa hopes her contribution to the SSW Board of Directors will continue the legacies of hospitality, mentoring and support that she experienced as a student.
