Michelle C. Lerner is currently working on her PhD dissertation in neuromotor science in the Motion-Action-Perception Lab of Dr. Geoff Wright. As an undergraduate, she completed a BS (with distinction) in neuroscience and psychology, working with animal models of memory and stress. She is a practitioner of several forms of movement arts, including various sports, martial arts and dances, and is currently a yoga instructor. As a researcher, she believes that movement plays an important role in our lives—from social cohesion to injury prevention and rehabilitation—and improves quality of life. She is interested in motor learning, attention, flow and rhythm.
